Vitamin deficiencies and dandruff do not cause hair loss to the extent of baldness. There are three main causes of hair loss, family history, age, hormonal changes. We need to consider all factors to find the real cause of hair loss.

An adult head has approximately 100,000 to 150,000 hair. 90% of the hair on your scalp grows actively. Hair loss is also a natural phenomenon that takes place simultaneously with hair growth. On an average hair grows half an inch every month, but as you age the hair growth also slows down drastically. That’s when the other factors, for example, your genes, emotional stress and poor diet come into play. When these factors start working together with the slow hair growth, a receding hairline starts to show which eventually turns into baldness.

Your Genetic makeup is the main cause in 95% of the cases. If you ancestors had baldness issues that started at a certain age, then you are likely to begin losing your hair quite early too.
