BOTOX
Commonly asked Questions about Botox
Is it safe?
Yes botox is generally a safe procedure although you may get pinpoint bruises or a little swelling after the procedure. (Not a common occurrence but possible in any procedures with needles). Unless you have an allergy to Botox it is quite safe.
Is it painful?
Pain is a very subjective thing but we aim to make you as comfortable as possible by applying numbing creams and it also depends on the doctor who performs the procedure. Fortunately our doctor has a light hand and will help to minimize the pain as much as possible.
Is Botox reversible?
You can’t do anything to reverse the effect of botox once injected. You will have to wait until the effect of botox wears off.
I don’t like the way my forehead looks frozen after botox. Can I preserve some movement to make it more natural?
Yes you can. You can speak to our doctor regarding your preferences for botox and she will try to accommodate your wishes as much as possible.
Less complication rate
Hair transplantation has a low complication rate compared to other aesthetic surgical procedures. However, it can cause serious complications if proper attention is not given. But there are a wide range of possible complications that are less severe and manageable.
Shorter recovery time
Recovery takes about 3-5 days and while there are no stitches, you do have a number of little tiny scabs all over your head which can be covered with hair (or just open if the patient can shave their whole head to start with). Healing is faster and discomfort is less than linear strip harvesting.
Can continue to harvest more grafts for future FUE procedures
FUE Hair Transplant is not a one-time procedure. You should also be aware of the different locations for hair transplant procedures other than the scalp. It is possible to harvest more grafts for future FUE procedures.
Can shave or keep hair short in future
It is possible to shave your head after an FUE hair transplant, and we recommend waiting for 8-10 days before doing so. However, one shouldn’t wet shave the treated areas for at least 3 months after surgery.
